The Problem
Maranatha Catholic Store was working off a very basic website. It was thin on content, several broken links, and not doing much to represent the shop or give perspective visitors an opportunity to see what it has to offer. For a small, family-run Catholic gift store trying to build trust with a local community, a site like that was working against them instead of for them.
The Process
Rather than just patch the old site, I scrapped it and built a brand new one from the ground up. I designed it mobile-first around what a visitor actually needs such as hours, location, and a way to reach the store. I cleaned up and restructured the navigation so nothing dead-ends and optimized the content for local search so nearby Catholics looking for sacraments, rosaries, and gifts can see what the shop offers.
The Outcome
The store’s site went from a broken, bare-bones page to a fully upgraded, professional website that works the way a modern small-business site should: fast, mobile-friendly, and easy to navigate. it gives the shop real credibility with the local community it serves and makes it simple for shoppers to find the store, see when it opens and walk through the door.
